J and I wish to take this opportunity to express our elation regarding the election results last night. Both of us have felt that this country has been going the wrong direction in recent years and that at the very least some of the blame has to fall on our government. We need a leader that has some hope of uniting Americans to reprioritize the agendas of this country and restore our infrastructure, military, education, and financial markets. Barack Obama inherits a lot of problems and we cannot sensibly expect immediate improvement. However, it has to start somewhere.
Anyway, we look at last night as a symbol of hope that our child will be born in a world where we can tell her that with hard work and determination she can be whomever she wants to be.
