Miss J's Adventures
As we approach Miss J's first birthday Hubby and I are baffled at her sense of adventure. From climbing the fireplace to...
raiding the refrigerator...

and standing on top of the dishwasher she's keeping us on our toes!

Thanksgiving with Lola

The tupperware cabinet has never looked so good under Miss J's new organization system!

Turkey's ready!

Lola carving the turkey with her 20-year-old electric knife. It's still going strong!

The girls enjoyed their food a little too much!

Who knows how much food actually made it into their stomachs?

and we put up our Christmas Tree! Bring on the holidays!

Thanksgiving at Hello's

She was ready to go from the moment she woke up.

We spent the early afternoon at Hello's house where Miss J figured out how to climb the stairs.

And had her share of turkey, watergate salad, mashed potatoes

and her favorite - pumpkin pie!

More please!

By the end of the night she was in a FOOD COMA.

First Picture with Santa
While hanging at the mall with Lola and Cousin NC, Miss J's Mommy decided to have her first picture taken with Santa! Yes, it's early BUT there was NO line.
As you can see, Miss J was not happy to see the man in the red suit! Oh well, next year!

Baby Gate?
.But when there's a will there is a way!

What's funny about this situation is Miss J knows how to climb in the box but not out. Maybe instead of baby gates I should buy a big box to keep her in? =P

Birthday Party at Chuckee Cheese
Riding in the car:

There were only two rides for the girls to enjoy - Clifford the Big Red Dog and a train.

Luckily, the girls were happy to switch between the two with no complaints.

"This is a great place Mommy!"

Miss J and NC with the birthday boy - Miggi.

Why the large tears?

Miss J was sooooooooo scared with Chuck E Cheese walked out to wish the birthday boys and girls well.

She just wasn't too sure about the oversized mouse. =P

A slice of chocolate cake later and she was all better!

Baby Rite of Passage: Toilet Paper!
Miss J got into the toilet paper this afternoon. I turned my back for one second and before I knew it there she was - wrapping the bathroom in toilet paper! Oh lordy!
I'm trying to teach her "NO" but I don't think I was very effective this time around as I couldn't stop laughing. She was so proud of herself and was having a blast making a mess!

Silly girl!

Sesame Street

Sesame Street!! Miss J LOVES Sesame Street and it's a great diversion when we have things to do, i.e. cook, quick clean, etc. Her favorite character? Elmo of course! The minute the theme song to Elmo's World comes on Miss J is at full attention. =P

Happy Birthday Mommy!
Guest Blogger: Hubby
Today is Mommy's 30-something birthday, so Daddy and Miss J went to pick up some birthday gifts at the Target off of Mommy's wish list. ;-)
First things first: Go to McDonalds and fuel up with some hotcakes for the shopping trip!

Miss J was super excited when we got there and was ready for her first of many birthday shopping trips for Mommy.

In addition to what was on the wish list, I wanted Miss J to personally pick something out for mommy. When we passed by the slippers, I took this as the perfect opportunity. She reached out and picked pink Isotoner slippers. Not a bad choice if you ask me!

As I've had no shame for years now, I purposely had Miss J hand the credit card to the cashier and accept the receipt (all while taking photos and having onlookers in line behind us)! :-P

Here she is checking the bag to make sure that we got home with everything.

The next step was to wrap the presents (which I REALLY don't like doing but Miss J was a great help and we had fun together!).

As you can see, all of our hard work paid off and Mommy was very happy on her 1st birthday with the little one. I am so happy to have Miss J help me out on Mommy's birthday! Next stop: Valentines Day!

Halloween!

Halloween has arrived!
Hubby, Miss J, Lola, Tita T, Cousin NC and I drove up to Hello's house to trick or treat. We got to Spring early which allowed for the girls to play and relax.
Miss J:

Cousin NC:

Hubby working on wagon decorations:

Before heading out for a trick or treating adventure I had to shoot several - no ALOT - of photos of Miss J in her Raggedy Ann costume. She was so cute!

Couldn't leave out Miss NC!

Hello bought the girls lollipops to snack on.

Baby J LOVED it!

The girls enjoying their snack:

"May I have some of your milk please?"

NC: "NO!" Miss J: "Why not?"

Once Miss J got her bottle she decided to take a load off and lay in the grass. After she saw Miss J resting in the grass Cousin NC wanted to as well!

LaDeeDa. . . .

Funny girls!

Miss J finishing up her bottle with her other Raggedy Ann friends.

Time to go trick or treating! Hubby and Hello decorated the wagon with twinkle lights and glow in the dark rings. The girls traveled in style!

First house:

"Mommy? What are we doing here?"

The girls and their Mommy's

After walking around the block it started to get cold so Red Ridinghood and Raggedy Ann headed home.

What a fun night!
